In what is known as the "great commission," our Lord charged the apostles and subsequent generations of believers to make disciples of all the nations (Matthew 28:18-20). On another occasion, Jesus urged his followers to pray that the Lord would send forth workers into the fields that are plentiful for a spiritual harvest (Matthew 9:37-38). It is the prayer of McKinney Bible Church that God might graciously raise up workers from among us to carry the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ throughout the world, and that the believers of McKinney Bible Church might be faithful to send such ambassadors of our Lord forth, and sacrificially support them. Thus in obedience to the Lord's command, it is the purpose of McKinney Bible Church to dispatch and support faithful believers among the nations to proclaim the glorious good news of our Lord's substitutionary atonement for sinful people.

Our aim is to send forth our fellow workers who will establish and strengthen local churches of believers through the proclamation and teaching of the Scriptures. The focus of these workers is the evangelization of the lost, the baptism of new believers, and the instruction of Christ's new disciples to obey all that He has commanded His servants in the New Testament. We pray that the Lord might graciously bless this service by adding local churches of believers to worship and serve Him. In order to follow the precedent of the apostles, McKinney bible Church will send forth and support workers to establish local bodies of believers that are patterned after the New Testament churches.

It is our understanding that the local church is to be characterized by a polity of plural elder oversight, by a weekly time of systematic instruction in the apostles' doctrine, by a weekly open worship meeting around the Lord's table that gives men an opportunity to direct the body in worship through remembrance of the Savior's death and to edify the church in accordance with the leading of the Holy Spirit, by the promotion of personal and corporate holiness through church discipline, and by an outreach to the lost in personal evangelism. We believe that the Lord will continue to build His church for His name's sake and that hell itself will not be able to triumph over it (Matthew 16:18). It is our desire to be a mission-minded church having hearts that are compelled to proclaim the cross work of Christ to a needy world.

We hope this will be reflected in the life of each McKinney Bible Church believer through personal evangelism and the support of world missions in sacrificial giving and prayer. In order to cultivate such a burden for missions in our young people, we have determined by the Lord's grace to give them opportunities to experience missions first hand by serving those in the field with projects that will enhance the growth of the local church. We pray that God will use the next generation of McKinney bible Church believers to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in His great commission!

And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age" (Matthew 28:18-20). Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest" (Matthew 9:37-38).
