About our family

Denny grew up in a wonderful Christian family. He was born in California but spent most of his growing years in the Midwest (South Dakota, Nebraska, and Illinois). While at Moody Bible Institute, he went on a summer missions project (with Ted & Priscilla Clark) to Mexico. It was during that time that God began directing Denny toward chruch planting.

Arlene grew up in the Chicago area in a Catholic family. Shortly after coming to know Christ, she went to Spain as an exchange student. There God began preparing her tongue for Spanish. For three years Arlene taught Spanish in private high schools in Green Bay, WI and then spent a year in San Quintin, Mexico sharing God's love with the migrant laborers. It was there that God confirmed in Arlene's heart that He wanted her to minister to Spanish speakers.

Ministry

Our ministry is church planting. We spend our time doing evengelism, discipleship, and training leaders. Our ministry includes families and anyone that will hear the gospel. It seems like every day is different. Some days I dedicate to studying, others to evangelistic and descipleship home Bible studies, and the rest of the days are filled up with addressing the personal needs of the body and attending the activities of the church. Arlene home schools, keeps our house in order, entertains, as well as leads the women's Bible study group.

Location

We have some exciting and maybe surprising news for some of you. We believe that God is leading us to move to the north coast of Oregon to continue the burden that He has given us to evangelize, disciple and church plant among the Hispanic people. Traveling south from Warrenton and working down the Oregon Coast through Tillamook – about a 90 minute drive – you will find an unreached Hispanic population who are being proselytized by the Mormons and Jehovah’s Witnesses. Many of the Hispanics in the area are from the state of Michoacán, Mexico - the state we have lived in for the past 14 years.
